This role is based in the UK (commutable distance to London). We do not have mandatory office days, but we do have a beautiful hub in WeWork Paddington in London which we meet at times to collaborate on new features, big releases and brainstorms.

Day to day accountabilities

You will be expected to:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable platform infrastructure.

  • Develop, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters and ensure high availability.

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform to automate provisioning.

  • Create and maintain Helm charts to streamline Kubernetes deployments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support CI/CD pipelines and improve deployment workflows.

  • Monitor and optimize platform performance, reliability, and security.

  • Document processes, systems, and infrastructure for future scalability and troubleshooting.

About you

  • Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.

  • Expertise with Kubernetes, including setting up and managing clusters.

  • Strong experience with Terraform for IaC and infrastructure automation.

  • Proficiency in creating and managing Helm charts for Kubernetes applications.

  • Proficiency with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Solid understanding of networking, containerization, and microservices architecture.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., CircleCI, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog).

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or Go).

  • Certification in Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) or Terraform is a plus.

  • Experience with service mesh tools (e.g., Traefik, Istio, Linkerd) is a bonus.
