We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Backend Engineer with some exposure to any JVM language to join our dynamic development team. Day to day accountabilities
You will be expected to:
Collaborate with your teammates to design, develop, and maintain high-quality solutions.
Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams in technical investigations.
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share learning.
Contribute to team meetings, offering insights and suggestions for improvement.
Deploy code to production, monitor and solve any problems. In other words, own your code.
About you
You have at least 1 year of professional experience with a JVM language, preferably Kotlin or Java.
You are able to write well defined unit/integration tests.
You have high sense of quality code and community best practices.
You understand data structures, algorithms and software design.
Fluency in English
Desirable
Knowledge of Spring Boot with either Gradle or Maven
Knowledge of any database querying tool like Jooq.
Experience of working with AWS
Worked on B2B marketplace products before
